Throughout February, March, and the beginning of April, I worked to complete the Center for Babywearing Studies Foundations course. I passed all three portions of the exam with no need for any corrections on April 3rd, 2026, becoming a certified babywearing educator.
The course included 33 hours of video and live Zoom trainings covering practical babywearing skills, safety, including the study of real life incident reports within the field of babywearing, human evolution and infant development, and best practice for welcoming folks into the world of babywearing, teaching the skills, and troubleshooting problems.
I entered the print design competition for the LoveHeld baby carrier company-- which specializes in ring slings (and wraps) in waffle weaves and printed linens, as well as using their textiles to create baby and home goods! LoveHeld also often collaborates with other brands, including Beluga Baby and Happy! Baby to have their textiles used for soft structured carriers.
My design will be turned into ring slings, as well as home and baby goods, available for pre-order hopefully by the end of April 2026. More info to come once the pre-order is ready!
